I was not compensated for writing this post. Smathers and Branson provided products to facilitate my review. My opinions are 100% honest and 100% mine.

Smathers and Branson Summer Products | WIldwood Beach

I am so psyched to tell you about Smathers and Branson.

Smathers and Branson is the brainchild of two roommates who were attending Bowdoin College in 2004. After receiving two very cool needlepoint belts from their girlfriends, they looked around for more and discovered they were difficult to come by. Light bulb! And, as they say, the rest is history.

The two began working with artisans in Vietnam who would hand-stitch every single product sold by Smathers and Branson. As the company grew, so did the industry in Vietnam. Within just a few short years, thousands of artisans were creating Smathers & Branson’s needlepoint products, providing them economic opportunities they might not otherwise experience.

While Smathers and Branson first started out selling needlepoint belts, they soon expanded their product line, including licensed products for numerous colleges and universities, baseball teams, and sororities and fraternities. They also offer custom and monogrammed items.

So what kind of products do they have?

Smathers and Branson Summer Products | Scallop Needlepoint Hat

Just the awesomest stuff ever. Like needlepoint key fobs and wallets and iPhone cases and dog collars and, well, you get the idea. Basically a lot of awesome stuff.

If you’re wondering why I’m sprinkling in beach pictures, it’s simple. I love the beach and summer in general. I just hate how we tend to leave summer in the dust once we’re past the 4th of July…and start focusing on back to school and fall and pumpkin and, well, you get the idea.

It’s still summer, folks! Let’s celebrate it, and everything about it. Like flip flops and beach chairs and starfish and flowers and sweet tea and everything in between!

Smathers and Branson Needlepoint Products | Needlepoint Key Fobs

I love anything with a summer theme, and it tends to make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Like these Smathers and Branson key fobs, which have such fun summer designs. The biggest problem with these is how the heck do you choose just one? I was torn between several of their needlepoint key fobs and wound up selecting this one, with a beach theme…

Smathers and Branson Needlepoint Beach Key Fob

How stinkin’ cute — and trendy, right? And it’s so…summer-y! I can smell the beach and feel the sand between my toes as we speak.

I love this key fob to pieces. It’s not just charming, it’s also the perfect size. You barely know you’re carrying it, and it fits anywhere, even your pocket.

For instance, I had my keys in my hand while I walked the dog and tucked them into the waist of my shorts…and I forgot they were even there. What in the world? And…everyone that sees it wants to know where I got it. It’s that cool.

Smathers and Branson Needlepoint Coasters

To me, sweet tea just screams summer to me, so I couldn’t resist getting some needlepoint coaster sets with a sweet tea theme. How charming are these? Charming, right? I know! But there are lots more you can choose from. Look at these coasters — they also scream summer to me.

Smathers and Branson Needlepoint Coasters

Everything is screaming summer, am I right?

I find coasters to be so civilized. They hearken back to another time, when folks were serious about entertaining (which meant any time anyone walked in the door). These coasters will get you a step closer to entertaining (or just dining) with style, plain and simple. If you’re already entertaining with style, you really must consider adding some Smathers and Branson Needlepoint Coasters to your repertoire.

I don’t entertain terribly often but there’s something to be said about using coasters. It’s just…classier. I don’t know why, but it just is. Doesn’t a glass on a coaster just look better? Of course it does.

And something as simple as a coaster with the right motif can add that touch of summer to your daily routine. Summer, folks, summer! We’re in the thick of it, so I sure hope you’re enjoying every single moment of it.

I couldn’t ignore Frankie, of course, when I was shopping Smathers and Branson. I mean, I’d be a real jerk if I disregarded the amazing needlepoint dog collars, right? Right.

A Starfish Needlepoint Dog Collar? Way too cute.

This collar is, without question, the best collar I’ve ever seen. It’s so well-made and heavy duty (but not heavy) and strong, but it also looks amazing. And very time I look at her, I’ll be thinking about summer — the glorious weather, barbecues with friends, fireworks, afternoons on the beach, flip flops…you name it, I love it!

Smathers and Branson Needlepoint Products

The folks at Smathers and Branson are so generous and so cool — they’ve offered one of my also cool readers the trio of needlepoint products that I received…the beach scene key fob, the sweet tea coasters, and the starfish dog collar.** Let’s celebrate summer together — that way, we can hang onto the magic of summer for as long as possible!

This giveaway is open to U.S. residents and ends August 10 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Just enter via the Rafflecopter form below — and good luck!

I would probably blot with a damp cloth because I wouldn’t want to damage the needlepoint. Of course, I’d be obsessive about NO SPILLS!! I am somewhat obsessive about that already, and these wouldn’t help in that regard. LOL.

Those are seriously gorgeous. They are truly a work of art and skill. Good job Smathers and Branson. I guess more so the credit goes to the girlfriends who gifted the items in the first place or this company would have never been born. Hopefully they are still with those girls lol

I’m torn between the black lab dog collar (because, well, I have a black lab!) and the crab dog collar (because I live in the blue crab state)…..decisions, decisions….LOL
