I was not financially compensated for writing this post. Petit Jean Meats provided a spiral smoked ham for this giveaway. My opinions are 100% honest and 100% mine.

Welcome to Day 4 of the Blog Pop Spring Fling event, hosted by Momma Told Me!

Let me tell you about the mouthwatering spiral smoked ham that you can find at Petit Jean Meats. Holy. Moly.

Petit Jean Meats Spiral Smoked Ham

One thing I really appreciated about this ham (besides the convenience of only having to heat it up) was that it contained no added water. You know what I’m talking about. I hate it when you get a ham like that. It’s like cheating! Anywho, that’s SO not the case with this spiral smoked ham. It’s melt-in-your-mouth good. The flavor is absolutely delightful. It’s as though angels are dancing on your tongue. Throw in some deviled eggs, some mashed potatoes, some warm dinner rolls — maybe a veggie (just kidding, always a veggie or two!) — and, wow. You have got yourself a meal that will have you going back for seconds. And maybe a few more bites of ham after that.

Believe it or not, you can heat up this spiral sliced ham in the dishwasher.

Spiral Smoked Ham in the Dishwasher

Yes, I said in the dishwasher. Here’s how:

  • Place your Petit Jean Half Spiral Sliced Ham (in the bag) face down on the bottom rack of your dishwasher.
  • Be sure not to puncture the packaging as it is essential to holding in the juices (and not making a mess in your dishwasher).
  • Set your dishwasher to the “Heavy Wash” or “Pots and Pans” setting. Press Start.
  • Once the wash cycle is done, you should have a little wear on the label and a very clean ham package.
  • Remove packaging and your ham is ready to slice and eat.

 Smoked Spiral Sliced Ham

The folks at Petit Jean Meats know what they’re doing…they’ve been doing it for more than 80 years! Every one of their Ozark Hickory Spiral Smoked Hams is individually hand-trimmed and seasoned with a blend of cloves, cinnamon, and other special ingredients before going into their old-fashioned smokehouse. Inside the smokehouse, each ham soaks up the smoke from smoldering hickory chips for at least 16 hours. The result is a ham that is fully cooked, moist and tender through and through, with a incredible smoky flavor that goes all the way to the bone.

Petit Jean Meats also offers a wide variety of other meat products — delicious bacon, sausage, turkey, as well as complete dinners with either ham or turkey (love that idea!). If it’s anything like their ham, I’m sold. This is the kind of ham that could make you sneak a sliver just when you happen to be near the fridge. Because it calls to you. It’s that good.

The fine folks have offered one of my readers their very own 7-9 lb. Spiral-Sliced Smoked Ham (valued at $65)!

I think there was a hiccup with the commenting because of a recent update. My apologies! I think it’s fixed now, though. Sorry about the inconvenience.
