Dip. Everyone has their favorite dip recipes. And who doesn’t love indulging in dips at parties and get-togethers? While I tend to always make one or two of my “go-to” dips which are tried and true favorites, I do like to change things up from time to time and try something new. So, I asked some of my blogger friends if they had any favorite dip recipes and voila! Boy, did they have some. (Editor’s Note: I also have a fondness for fun/unique/eye-catching serving dishes, so I thought I’d share some of those with you as well.)
Let’s start with Hot Artichoke Dip. Mmmmm. It looks like this…
…or, as I like to think, heaven. It’s super easy to make (and, from what I hear, addictive!) — you only need artichoke hearts (obviously), mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, and Colby Jack cheese. Doesn’t it look de-lish? And I think that once you try the Hot Artichoke Dip Recipe, it would look great in here:
I love this dip bowl! It’s stunning. I must have this dip bowl. Must.
Or maybe your favorite dip recipes are of the cold variety…so, maybe you’d like to try Grilled Eggplant Yogourt Dip, which pairs perfectly with some fresh-cut veggies.
Of course, perhaps you’re a guacamole fan (wait, isn’t everyone?). But trying to find a different, unique take on guacamole dip recipes isn’t the easiest thing in the world. However, this recipe from The Nerd’s Wife sure fits that bill! It combines…Granny Smith apples with avocados (and a handful of other ingredients) to produce Green Apple Guacamole. I don’t know about you, but that doesn’t just sound yummy, it sounds like it’s one of those dip recipes with the “wow” factor.
If you’re working with avocados, then you could also try this simple dip recipe — a Creamy Avocado Dip. Five whole ingredients and about three steps, if you count skinning the avocados as a step! And, boy, is it creamy…
I think either of these dips would really stand out in this serving bowl, which also delivers the “wow” factor:
Speaking of “wow” factor, I think this is one of those dip recipes that could be the hit of the party: Mexican Caviar Salsa (which can double as a salad!)…what do you think?
And, since we’re discussing dip recipes with corn, how about this Hot Corn Dip with Chipotle Chiles:
Mmmmm…now, how to serve these corn-based dip recipes in a manner that makes them really catch the eye…hmmm…
Yep, that should do the trick. Pow! At this point, I’m not sure if I’m more excited about dip recipes or the bowls they go in. (It’s a little of both, I suppose.)
Of course, you can’t go wrong with a Southwestern Dip — especially when it has just five ingredients and all you have to do it mix them together and put them in a bowl! Or, maybe some Queso Blanco (another slam-dunk from The Nerd’s Wife!), which just looks to-die-for:
You might be a little surprised (and excited) when you see the ingredients, so I’m not going to spoil it for you…just check out the recipe and give it a whirl. Of course, no party/barbecue/get-together would be complete without a dessert dip, am I right? (Of course I am!) So, how about, oh, some Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip? Oh yeah, I said it! And here it is:
But, wait! This is one of those dip recipes that make you all giddy because…*wait for it*…it’s healthy! It is free of gluten, soy, corn, potato, coconut, egg, and lactose, with a dairy-free option as well! And this dip would go lovely in this platter…along with graham crackers or pretzels or even fruit!
I’ve got more amazing dip recipes for you — and even more amazing dip bowls to serve them in. Stay tuned for the second round of fabulous dip recipes!
