Lindsay Phillips is an artist.
And a brand.
And a genius.
What’s so “genius” about a pair of sandals, you ask? Well, thank you for asking (I assume you’re asking)…see that cute little button on the front? Well, ladies, they’re interchangeable. You could unsnap that button and snap on, say, this button:
Lindsay Phillips originally created SwitchFlops, flip flops with interchangeable straps, while she was in high school and applied for a patent for the shoes (she received it in 2004). In addition to her adorable — and versatile — flip flops, Lindsay has also created a line of custom shoes that feature interchangeable snaps. The good folks at Lindsay Phillips sent me a pair of their Alex Heel Black Suede Shoes to review…
More cuteness! I love the snap that comes with these shoes, a rhinestone surrounded by a chain link. The Alex has a 3 1/2 inch sculpted heel, which is very manageable, even for a clumsy oaf like myself. Look, the heel isn’t overwhelming and neither too chunky nor too narrow:
Part of the ingenuity of these shoes is how they can go from one setting (like a meeting or an office) to another (like a restaurant or a party or, well, you get the idea) and they are perfect for every occasion! And when you start swapping out the snaps, the shoes become even more perfect for even more occasions. Look!
The snap on the left is the “Deanna” snap and the one on the right is the “Lenore” snap. Too cute! Yes, I kinda have a “thing” for starfish. There were soooo many snaps to choose from that it was just overwhelming! But, in a good way, trust me!
Anywho, there is a great variety of shoes to choose from; sandals, wedges, ballet flats, slides, and flip flops. And, as I said, don’t get me started on the Lindsay Phillips snaps you have to choose from — all kinds of styles and colors!
And, the great folks at Lindsay Phillips have provided a promo code for my readers: Just enter LindsaySave10 at checkout to save 10% on our order! Woo hoo! As Lindsay Phillips is fond of saying, “Change your look, not your sole.” Cute!
