HealthEar therapy — it works!

38 Flares 38 Flares ×

If you know me, you might be aware that I can get a little stressed out at times.

Wait.

If you know me, you know I get a lot stressed out. And not “at times.” Almost all the time.

So, when I was asked if I’d be interested in reviewing a HealthEar therapy device, I was curious. Very, very curious. The folks at HealthEar create auricular therapy devices that are customized for their customers to use in acupressure treatments.

Yes, acupressure. This is my first foray into the use of acupressure, so I had no experience with this holistic — drug-free — treatment. Let me explain how this works.

"HealthEar Silicone Mold"

HealthEar sends you a two portions of silicone — one white and one colored. You divide each in half, then knead together one half of the white silicone with one half of the colored silicone until completely blended. You then roll the mixture into a ball with a short tapered end. Next, you gently place the silicone ball into your right ear. Press on the center of the ball and fold in the silicone, pressing again on the center until the material completely fills your ear, like such:

Then simply leave the material in your ear for about 10 minutes, until it is no longer pliable. Boom…you’ve got your first mold. Then repeat the steps with the other silicone ball, allow both molds to “cure” for about three hours, place them in the provided plastic bags, and send them back to HealthEar so that they can get to work on your device.

Don’t worry…the included instructions are easy to follow, and are also explained clearly at their website, along with an instructional video. I had no trouble completing this task, so you should have no concerns that you will have any problems with this part.

The only problem I had was filling out the questionnaire. The short, simple questionnaire will help determine how your HealthEar therapy device is constructed. Let me explain.

"HealthEar Therapy Device Acupressure Points Auricular Therapy"

Using traditional acupuncture points, HealthEar therapy devices are a holistic, drug-free way to treat a variety of ailments. Based upon what your specific needs are — appetite control, nicotine craving control, insomnia relief, or stress and anxiety relief — the folks at HealthEar make your customized ear mold with acupressure nodules. These acupressure nodules stimulate certain acupuncture points in your ear to achieve the desired result. (The folks at HealthEar probably explain how auricular therapy works better than I do, so don’t rely solely on my explanation.) As I stated, the only problem I had while dealing with HeathEar was deciding which specific HealthEar therapy device I wanted/needed the most. I have issues with insomnia…and who wouldn’t like some help with appetite control (holistic and drug-free, no less!)? But stress and anxiety relief? Uh, yeah. I definitely needed that. OK, problem solved.

Here’s another view:

"HealthEar Therapy Acupressure"

As you can see, my HealthEar therapy device has five nodules. Of those nodules, three are standard for the stress and anxiety relief:

  • Heart Point for shortness of breath and relaxation
  • Sub-cortex Point to steady unconscious reactions
  • Brain Point for calmness

In addition to those nodules, one or two secondary points are added, depending on your questionnaire answers, from these possibilities:

  • Liver Point for anxiety
  • Endocrine Point to rebalance hormones
  • Large Intestine Point for increased regularity
  • Spleen Point to improve immune system

Now for the $64,000 question: Does HealthEar work?

Let me tell you a story. The past month has been excruciatingly stressful. Besides just usual life stress, there was the typical holiday stress. That’s a lot of stress. Add to that some personal health issues as well as a serious family illness that ended up with my grandmother going into hospice and passing away shortly thereafter. Then there were family “issues” (I’m being polite) and, yeah, I was stressed out. As in…Stressed. Out. Like, I was over my limit.

After a particularly bad day, I was lying in bed, unable to sleep. I simply could not shut down for the day. I was trying my darnedest to relax and then a light bulb went off (not literally). The HealthEar! I jumped out of bed and took it from its nice little case and placed it in my ear. Surely this was the test of all tests.

I was lying there, with my HealthEar therapy device in my ear, for about 20-30 minutes. I was starting to wind down. I was relaxing. I was becoming more and more calm! I placed my handy dandy little device on my nightstand and fell asleep. That made a believer out of me. I will, without a doubt, be using HealthEar as needed, from now on. Thank you, HealthEar!

I’m not the only one who feels this way…you can read more HealthEar testimonials and see what other customers have experienced. And, if you’re interested in seeing how a HealthEar therapy device can work for you, give it a try. It’s so convenient, it’s so easy to use, and it costs less than the price of two acupuncture visits!

I was not compensated for writing this post. HealthEar provided product for review. My opinions are 100% honest and 100% mine.
