I’ll be the first to admit that iced coffee is not easy to make at home — and rarely does it taste as good as the iced coffee we purchase while on the go. In fact, significantly more people purchase iced coffee than hot coffee on the go — 78% vs. 52%. Those iced coffee purchases have doubled since 2005.
But International Delight is bringing iced coffee right into your home…and words can’t express how fabulous this product is. You don’t have to leave your home when you want an iced coffee (thank you, I’ll stick to my pajamas)…and the cost of a half gallon ($3.99 suggested retail) is about the equivalent of one or two cups of iced coffee purchased on the go. And it’s de-lish!
Of course, it’s great simply served over ice but with International Delight Iced Coffee recipes, you can make your iced coffee experience even more memorable. And, boy, were they memorable while “celebrating” National Coffee Day.
Everyone (except me, due to being on antibiotics…boo!) enjoyed Blended White Russians made with International Delight Iced Coffee:
- 1 cup International Delight Iced Coffee, any flavor (I used Mocha)
- 1/2 cup ice
- 1 ounce vodka
- 1 ounce coffee liqueur
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Yield: One serving.
Needless to say, I made an entire pitcher of these. And they went quick.
I, on the other hand, had to have a non-alcoholic drink, so I opted for an Iced Coffee Frappe, made with International Delight Vanilla Iced Coffee. Y-u-m!
Both the vanilla and mocha flavors of International Delight Iced Coffee are scrumptious. I think I lean ever so slightly toward the mocha, as my preference, but not by much. Both are so creamy and delicious, it really seems like you’re indulging in some major decadence, but you’re not. As you can see, I incorporated an autumn/Halloween theme in our little coffee party…after all, 62% of iced coffee drinkers (myself included) drink iced coffee in winter months. Iced coffee isn’t just meant for drinking during the summer!
And, we complemented our International Delight Iced Coffee beverages with some de-lish treats, like pumpkin donut holes (yay for pumpkin anything!), Halloween shortbread cookies, and Halloween-themed Peeps. No, I’m not kidding.
Each serving (8 ounces) of International Delight Iced Coffee contains 150 calories, 4 grams of protein, and 15% of your RDA of Calcium! It also has 76 mg of caffeine, which is significantly more than leading iced coffee products, which only have approximately 50 mg of caffeine. In comparison, brewed tea has about 47 grams of caffeine, and soda comes in at about 23-30 grams.
International Delight Iced Coffee is currently available in Original, Vanilla, Mocha, and a new (and I bet de-lish!) Caramel Macchiato flavors. For more information, recipes, or coupons, check out International Delight Iced Coffee on Facebook!
I wrote this review while participating in an In Home Party campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of International Delight and received product samples to facilitate my party and review, and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
