No, no, no. I’m not bitter. Where would you get that idea?
I’m disappointed.
After all, I’ve been planning for (and looking forward to) the almighty BlogHer convention since February. Then, my health kinda went downhill…and straight into a ravine. So, I had to cancel three days prior to my planned arrival. Three days!!
I would have made it to the New York Hilton in about two hours and I was planning on staying from Wednesday through Sunday. And I was planning on meeting all my blogger friends and networking, networking, networking. Oh, and parties. Let’s not forget the parties. Which is why I went shopping. A lot.
But, before I return these clothes and jewelry — most of them, at least — I had to show somebody. So, here we are.
I love these dresses. They were such a change of pace for me; they fit well and looked sharp, crisp, polished. Ho hum.
I also bought these blouses, to go with my black Lisette L pants and a couple skirts…
The two on the left are Calvin Klein blouses…and the prices. Oh. My. God. Fabulous! (Hence, why I’m struggling with returning them.)
Then there’s the jewelry, oh, the jewelry.
This was some of the jewelry I had packed for BlogHer. Not all, but some of my favorites. I have something of a problem when it comes to jewelry. But that’s OK. Now let’s take a closer look, shall we?
And this necklace, which I absolutely fell in love with (and is NOT going back, no way, no how):
This was going to be my purple arm bling to go with my purple dress (see? I put thought into this!)…
Oh, wait. The shoes. Did I forget to mention the shoes? Ahhhh. Here you go.
I know high heels are a bad idea if you’re on your feet a lot but…well, a gal can’t be without her heels! I also got these, for BlogHer…
You have no idea how much I was going to pack…it was going to be a major production. These are just the NEW flats (OK, one’s a wedge) that I was bringing to BlogHer. I kind of have a shoe problem, too. A big one.
I figured I needed about two, maybe 3 changes of clothes a day, just to be safe. It’s hot, I had parties to go to, people to meet, cocktails to be had…so I wanted to make sure I packed enough to stay looking fresh.
Time to pack up everything (well, not everything) and make some returns. Boo.
Guess I’ll have to change out of my pj’s. Poop.

YOu pack shoes like I pack shoes! Going away for the weekend? My solution is to bring at least 4 pairs of shoes–1 pair of heels, 1 pair of flats, 1 pair of boots, and one pair of comfy shoes that aren’t flats. I may throw in a favorite pair of shoes because I know they’re a fail-safe that I can wear if I don’t want to wear any of the other pairs LOL!
I LOVE those 3 dresses! Very eye-catching without being over the top, and polished without being boring. And keep the blouse all the way on the right. It’s beautiful!

Thanks, Rachel! Yeah, I definitely have a shoe problem. I have a closet full of shoes. It’s silly. A separate closet houses my sneakers, which I have about 20 pairs of. Not kidding. (Maybe more) I love that blouse as well!! They’re all so different and flattering, I’m torn. I don’t “need” them, but I like them…*sigh*

Wow, your clothes are awesome. Maybe just pack them now for next year?

Chief Blonde…I think I’m going to just return them and shop again, if I need to. Things are STILL not improving so how I will make it to Chicago is beyond me. I have been awake 3 hours today. THREE. If I could get one doctor to help me, it would be a miracle.
