I’m always on the hunt for a good, quality, fun app for my iPad.
Enter Carpet Ball.
This one is truly unique. Unlike other mobile games and apps, people play against each other in real life when they play Carpet Ball. With this app, up to four iPhone users (or iPad users) can play together, as a result of Carpet Ball’s patented technology. However, you can play the game with as few as two users with iPhones or iPads.
First, you line up your iPhones (or iPads) to create the game board. The goal of the game is to knock off all of the other players’ balls off the table. Each player takes turns using the cue ball to push the opponent’s balls off the table. Like so…
I love that Carpet Ball combines aspects of shuffleboard (my favorite!) and billiards. Carpet Ball allows you to customize your settings and also has an interactive training tutorial. The Carpet Ball app is available in the U.S. for only $.99, and is priced accordingly in other regions.
This game is unique and offers something interactive…of course, it’s tough to get my kids in the room with me, but I can work on that. For a change, it would be nice when my kids’ faces are buried in their iPhone or iPad, they’re actually not shutting themselves off from the rest of the world. In fact, we’d be engaging…and communicating! What a novel concept.
This would be a great change of pace from obsessively playing an app with strangers from all over the world! Now families and friends can interact together, in the same room, rather than competing against who-knows-who in cyberspace.
The Carpet Ball app works with iPhones and iPads and is available worldwide at the Apple App Store or you can head over to Carpet Ball to check it out.
I was not compensated for writing this review. I was provided a promotional product in exchange for writing about the app. My opinions are 100% honest and 100% mine.
