"Bared To You Sylvia Day"

Bared To You: A Crossfire Novel, by Sylvia Day ($15.00)

Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness…

He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily…

Gideon knew. He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each other’s most private wounds… and desires.

The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn’t tear us apart…

This New York Times bestseller (13 weeks as of July 25) is hot. And not just when it comes to sales, either. It’s smoking hot. Smoking.

I’ve never had the pleasure of reading a Sylvia Day novel before now, but I can tell you this…she is one talented author. And that talent has already got me hooked. Hooked on what? Well, since I read Bared to You in two sittings (which flew by), I can’t wait for the second book in this series, which is due to be released in October, as well as the third, which is slated for release early next year.

"Sylvia Day Bared To You"

Sylvia Day has written more than a dozen novels to date within the genres of urban fantasy, romance, science fiction, historical, and more, under three pen names. The Japanese-American author is quite a fascinating, talented woman with remarkable achievements, including work as a former Russian linguist for the U.S. Army Military Intelligence. Take a peek at this interview…

Bared to You is not some cheap, tawdry romance novel. It definitely falls under the category of erotic fiction but it didn’t come across as “dirty” as I was intensely reading it. Yes, admittedly it is intense at times but it felt real. The passion, the emotions, the conflicts, the relationships — they have depth and a sense of vulnerability and a raw honesty to them.

It probably doesn’t hurt that Bared to You is being compared to Fifty Shades of Grey…and being recommended to those who devoured Fifty Shades. Bared to You is one of the rare works of erotic fiction I have read in my lifetime…and I relished every moment, every page, every encounter between the Eva and Gideon.

This book might not be for everyone…but for those on the hunt for well-written, captivating erotic fiction that you cannot put down (I mean that almost literally), get your hands on Bared to You. You will not be disappointed. It is a phenomenal read.

You can read a Bared to You excerpt as well as buy a copy of the book at Sylvia Day’s website.

I was not compensated for writing this review. I received a copy of Bared to You to facilitate my review. My opinions are 100% honest and 100% mine.
