Plug your giveaway with the CommentLuv plug-in

Are you looking to promote your giveaways? (Or just your blog in general?) Let me tell you about a clever way to do so: Commenting on blogs with the CommentLuv plug-in.

The CommentLuv plug-in allows commenters to link to one of their blog posts right in their comment. Depending on the blog, the link might even be dofollow.

The reason this could be a valuable tool is a pretty basic one. If you are looking to promote your giveaway you want/need to get it in front of the right audience. What better audience is there than the readers of other review and giveaway blogs?

Please note: I’m not suggesting you exploit other review/giveaway blogs just to promote yourself, of course. However, commenting on CommentLuv blogs definitely has benefits for you (as well as the blog where you’re commenting). As with anything else, just be reasonable and fair.

I’ll update this list regularly so it will continue to grow…and if you have a Review and Giveaway blog that uses the CommentLuv plug-in and I missed you, let me know. I’ll be happy to include you!

If you’ve been considering installing the CommentLuv plug-in on your blog, I highly recommend CommentLuv Premium.* That’s the plug-in I use at Keenly Kristin and I think it is one of the best investments I’ve ever made in my blog.

*That’s an affiliate link…but, believe you me, CommentLuv is the bee’s knees. And if you don’t want to purchase CommentLuv Premium, you can download the free plug-in. This isn’t about making money; it’s about maximizing your (and my) blogging potential.

CommentLuv Premium gives you quite a few more options, like anti-spam control, Keyword Integration (in the author name field), no self-pinging, Twitter link fields, etc. I just like the extra options (including that you can choose from 10 blog posts when you comment) that come with Premium. And, if you have Premium, it “travels” with you…meaning your settings control (for you only) as you comment on other blogs. It’s nice.

Awesome website you have here but I was wanting to know if you knew of any message boards that cover the same topics discussed in this article? I’d really like to be a part of community where I can get feed-back from other experienced people that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Also would you mind if I share your blog with my zynga group? There’s a lot of folks that I think would really appreciate your content. Please let me know. I’ll go ahead and bookmark your website to come back down the road Cheers!

I get so tired of seeing the white page when I comment on sites with CommentLuv, and then many sites simply “moderate” your comments if you happen to have an opposing opinion.

That’s the main reason, I’ve gone to Livefyre comments.

I’m not really sure what you’re talking about. Because of ME they make links to no-follow? That would be pretty ridiculous. Plus, I clearly stated that you should not EXPLOIT other bloggers and their blogs in order to just promote yourself (kind of the vibe I’m getting from you). People purchased CommentLuv for a reason: to entice people to leave comments on their blogs. If they choose to approve comments that are SPAM, that’s their choice. And if they decide to make links no-follow because of all the spam (that they could not approve), then that’s hardly my fault.

But, you’re welcome for the list. I’m sure you’re going to use it.

CommentLuv is fantastic – it encourages quality content and spurs on lively discussion between blogger and readers. It’s a wonderful plugin and you’re using it perfectly! :)
