Call me silly, but I can’t help but admire some of the real estate in this lovely little beach town. In fact, sometimes I drive real slow down certain streets just to scope out some of the houses that are just, well, amazing. Like, this house, which has been on my radar for quite some time…
That’s insane, right? Well, this should make it more insane…across the street is a Little League ball field and on the other side of that is…the beach. So that round room full of windows? Yeah…nothing but ocean view. *sigh* Do you see that fountain in the right corner? Yes, a fountain. And, it’s not little, either. Here’s the side of the house…
I don’t even know where to begin…the beautiful decks on BOTH floors, as well as the HUGE one on the roof? Or how about that unbelievable two-car garage (you can’t tell, but there are two shiny, wooden garage doors on them)? The statue in the little alcove? Or the Jaguar parked outside, which I’m guessing belongs there. Oh, this house…simply magnificent. (Rumor has it this is a $1.5 million property.)
Then, there’s this, which is lovely in its own right…
This house is the second house from the sand, which makes it pretty amazing. But it’s huge and new and pretty and…the view! Oh, wait, a lot of its view is of this:
Seriously? Do you see that thing? It’s…immense. And sprawling. And magnificent. And extravagant. And, might I add, literally on the beach. Do you see that door? Well, technically, it’s probably called an “entrance.” I mean, a double door that stands about 20 feet tall isn’t really a “door,” ya know? A door can be bought at Home Depot. That is…something you’d see at the Vatican. Inside, there are columns with high ceilings. Columns. (I know this because we gazed at it the other day, while a woman was carrying groceries inside.) But don’t worry, I took a few.
That’s the back side, which will have a house next to it soon.
Do you see all those windows facing the ocean? And, on the second floor, all those patios? Man, oh man. I’ve heard there’s a jacuzzi in front, facing the beach, which just serves to make this house more awesome and also more annoying. And, rumor has it this property has a price tag of roughly $3.8 million. I’m just curious what kind of income one would have to have in order to afford a…$3.8 million vacation property.
Alas, not all Wildwood real estate looks like these homes…because you can always pick up something like this:
How small is that? I mean, really!

Those homes are stunning! I am visiting from the Alexa hop, thank you for joining! http://www.mooseandtater.com
I didn’t realize you were near Wildwood… or in Jersey for that matter. LOL Small world.. I’m about 40 minutes from Wildwood. Would also LOVE to live there in one of those huge houses!!

I’m actually in Philly…but I spent all of June in Wildwood. It’s my favorite place in the whole world. We would spend every summer there, if we could.
I am in love with those houses! Well maybe not the last one- LOL!
Gorgeous!
Off to finish my chores

I do this ALL THE TIME with Jake. Its so fun, yet so depressing knowing there is a great chance we will never own anything so magnificent! Its so fun to pretend though!! (we always go around, and talk in THE most red-neck accents we can muster, just to make ourselves laugh about it!)

Haha – I love to go househunting! We’ve even gone inside some amazing open houses just to scope them out
Hi Kristin! I’m so in love with the first yellow house that you posted and I have been trying to search it on the web for the past hour. Do you know the address? PLease get back to me as soon as you can, I would love to see pictures of the inside of this house!! Thanks so much, Melissa
Holy cow…I just did a Google search for this house (which is one of my favorites in Wildwood, without a doubt) and I found it via Google maps (the satellite version) and it has a POOL! I’m dying over here. It’s across the street from the Greater Wildwood Little League Field. I’m not sure if there are pictures of the interior available, but I’ll be on the lookout. Believe me, if I ever come across any, I’ll be posting them!

We have vacationed in Wildwood/Crest for the last 15 years. We love it there and enjoy going out at night and have ice cream at the Sea Shell and look at all the beautiful homes, enjoy the beach etc. I hope that hurricane Sandy has not destroyed such a beautiful area.
I know, I LOVE Wildwood…we do the same thing every summer and it NEVER gets old! The Sea Shell — yum! Btw, from what I’ve heard from those with homes in Wildwood, there was not significant damage from Sandy. Thank goodness!! However, I have heard that rental rates have gone up for the 2013 season, maybe because insurance rates have gone up? Or because they’re expecting an influx of travelers who can’t go to other shore points? Not sure…and not thrilled about the higher rates, either! Boo.
