This is a Fashionista Event Opportunity, and is hosted by Still Blonde after all these YEARS and Modly Chic. I was not compensated for writing this post. I was provided samples of Monroe and Main shoes to facilitate my review. My opinions are 100% honest and 100% mine.
We had a feeling we were going to like these Monroe and Main shoes — a pair of black Carlos Santana gladiators and a pair of red wedges from Aerosoles. My daughter went for the gladiator sandals, which feature mirrored metal accents and a snake-textured back, with a 1-inch wedge heel. Too cute! My mother opted for the Aerosoles Light Bulb Wedges, which have a 2-inch heel, a brushed hinge accent, and a rubber outsole. They’re also available in white. Very pretty!

This shop is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Scott Brand, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #Scottvalue http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV. My opinions about Scott tissue products are 100% honest and 100% mine.
Scott tissue products are considered a standard when it comes to paper products. I know that. You know that. But, for some reason, I’ve felt the need to try out different products for a variety of reasons. Because I got a deal…because some “new and improved” product promised some new and improved features…because I had a coupon, you name it. I finally decided those reasons weren’t enough to justify not buying Scott tissue products, so I headed out to Kmart and stocked up.
I was so frustrated with my old paper towels, which I purchased because they were a “bargain.” What a mistake. I had to double them up any time I wanted to wipe anything up and, even then, they were performing sub-par. So I was anxious to see how the Scott Towels managed my everyday messes in the bathroom and kitchen. In my opinion, if your paper towel is just pushing around hair and dirt, you’re not really getting the job done. I took these pictures after making lunch one afternoon:

This post is sponsored by Febreze. Product samples and a promotional item were provided to facilitate my review. Nevertheless, my opinions about Febreze Allergen Reducer are 100% honest and 100% mine.
According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA), approximately 50 million Americans suffer from all types of allergies and experts agree that seasonal allergies are starting earlier, and pollen count is on the rise each year. I am one of those 50 million Americans. And while I look forward to spring each year I also dread its arrival, because I know it means stuffiness and sneezing and headaches and all that fun stuff. I also have a cat and, at times, I have an allergic reaction to her hair. (You’re probably wondering why I have a cat then and I have one simple answer: Mice. Oh, and crickets.) That’s why I am so psyched about Febreze Allergen Reducer.
I’ve been using Febreze products pretty much since Day 1. In fact, I once lived in a house with four cats and a dog. We had a housekeeper who seemed to go through a bottle of Febreze Fabric Refresher every time she cleaned the house. So I’m no stranger to the very pleasing scent of Febreze…in fact, I find it quite comforting.
When Febreze Air Effects hit the shelves, I was there. Then Febreze Sleep Serenity appeared. I jumped on that, since we have significant issues with falling asleep and staying asleep. Sleep Serenity products are meant to be used each night to help calm your senses and leave the day’s stresses behind, helping you wake up rested, refreshed, and ready to greet the day. Sounds good to me!
I also use Febreze NOTICEables, Febreze Car Vent Clips, and Febreze Set&Refresh. I have a lot of confidence in Febreze, as you can tell.

I was not compensated for writing this post. I received one of the Emilie M bags featured in this post to facilitate my review. My opinions are 100% honest and 100% mine.
I have a “problem” with bags. I had to face this reality when I recently moved, since I had to use two lawn and leaf bags to hold all my bags. I finally unpacked them and put them on display, so I could see what I have. This is the result:
And this is the bottom rack…
See what I mean? And that’s after I thinned out my collection (admittedly only a little). If you have a keen eye, you might notice that I tend to lean toward one main brand. I do add to my collection with other bags, of course, but not often. I’m kinda picky about my bags.

I was not financially compensated for writing this post. Petit Jean Meats provided a spiral smoked ham for this giveaway. My opinions are 100% honest and 100% mine.
Welcome to Day 4 of the Blog Pop Spring Fling event, hosted by Momma Told Me!
Let me tell you about the mouthwatering spiral smoked ham that you can find at Petit Jean Meats. Holy. Moly.
One thing I really appreciated about this ham (besides the convenience of only having to heat it up) was that it contained no added water. You know what I’m talking about. I hate it when you get a ham like that. It’s like cheating! Anywho, that’s SO not the case with this spiral smoked ham. It’s melt-in-your-mouth good. The flavor is absolutely delightful. It’s as though angels are dancing on your tongue. Throw in some deviled eggs, some mashed potatoes, some warm dinner rolls — maybe a veggie (just kidding, always a veggie or two!) — and, wow. You have got yourself a meal that will have you going back for seconds. And maybe a few more bites of ham after that.

I was not financially compensated for writing this post. Orb Factory provided a prize pack of kids activities for this giveaway. My opinions are 100% honest and 100% mine.
Welcome to Day 3 of the Blog Pop Spring Fling event, hosted by Momma Told Me!
We were very excited to have the opportunity to partner with Orb Factory as well as offer one of my readers the chance to win a fun prize pack of kids activities!
We tackled this activity — the Sticky Mosaics Fairies — first, and my niece just went to town with all these colorful sticky foam pieces and shiny jewel pieces, creating her bedazzled fairy. Or, should I say, four fairies, because she was so enthralled by all the pinks and purples and sparkly gems, she didn’t want to stop at just one. It was great seeing her engaging in a craft that was age-appropriate and so much fun for her. These come with adhesive hang tags, so she can hang them in her room, or from a hook on the fridge, you name it. They’re everywhere!

A long time ago, I began writing about my experience with my son’s illness. I didn’t realize how difficult it would be to relive that experience through writing about it, which is why I hadn’t written the next part of the series. However, after reading about Lacey Holsworth, I couldn’t put it off any longer. I saw the link to Lacey’s story in an email newsletter and something sparked within me. I quickly scanned the article to find out what type of cancer had struck down this little girl. And there it was: A neuroblastoma diagnosis.
The article referred said neuroblastoma is a fetal-nerve cell cancer. I knew all about that. Because doctors gave my son a neuroblastoma diagnosis when he was 2.

This is a Fashionista Event and a promotional item was provided to me by Coupons.com. Hosts for this event are Still Blonde after all these Years and ModlyChic. My opinions about Norton by Symantec and computer protection are 100% honest and 100% mine.
March 31 was World BackUp Day. Did you celebrate it? It’s a day that’s supposed to act as a reminder to back up your important files. Let me back up a second. Have you ever backed up your files? I haven’t. And that’s pretty important when it comes to computer protection.
I know, I know. At any time, I could lose all my files; hundreds — no, thousands — of photos, documents, you name it. That would…stink. Big time.
I really should know better, since my computer once was infected with a “zombie virus” that led to two wireless networks (home and school) denying me service. That’s how I found out. Luckily, as a university student, I had access to (mostly) free tech support. So, in I walked, anxious and embarrassed, laptop in hand, hoping for the best. Guess what I was asked?

This post is brought to you by HSACenter.com. All thoughts and content are my own. My opinions about Health Savings Accounts are 100% honest and 100% mine.
Tax Day is quickly approaching and you don’t want to overlook the tax advantages of Health Savings Accounts. It’s important to pay attention to your HSA all year long, but it’s even more vital at tax time.
The Affordable Care Act affects Health Savings Accounts in some ways, but you need to remember the three tax advantages:
- Money that you deposit into a Health Savings Account is tax-deductible
- Interest earned on Health Savings Accounts remains tax-deferred
- Money withdrawn for qualified medical expenses are tax-free
